Consulting
If you wish, we can offer suggestions as to the best approach to display your logo. Depending on the style of the garment, fabric, colors and size of logo, or whether you prefer a screen print or embroidered design, your message will take on different characteristics. Your options range from a subtle background effect to a more prominent presentation.
Embroidery
The art of embroidery is even newer. In the 1980's artwork and designs were transferred on to fabric using needle and thread. This allowed designs better "staying power" since they were incorporated into the fabric. Jo-Rae has over 30 embroidery machines in house which enables us to offer quick turn around times on small and large orders.
Digitizing
The method that transfers your artwork to needle and thread is a process called digitizing. This method is a computer aided drafting process, whereby your image is scanned onto a computer screen. We trace the image using a special software package that allows us to indicate color, size and stitching specifications that are then programmed into one of our embroidery machines.
Having in-house digitizing capability at Jo-Rae keeps labor costs down and turnaround time up. And if there are any changes you want make to a design, we can fix it on the spot.
Logo Format
We can scan artwork from a variety of sources such as a fax with your logo or a business card. Please copy the logo as big as it can be on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper. However, the best way we can get a high quality replication of your image is from a high resolution digital file on disk. Most faxes vary in quality and have only 72 to 300 dots per inch (dpi) image quality. A logo design on disk will give us a first generation 1200 dpi output . Please send us your image in a .tiff, .eps, .dxf, .jpeg, .bmp, or .ai format.
